What is a laundry POS system?
A laundry POS (point of sale) system takes orders at the counter, prices each garment and service (wash, dry clean, iron), prints a ticket or receipt, and records the payment. WoBooks also tracks prepaid subscription balances, shift totals and the accounting entries for every sale, so you do not need separate software for each job.
Can I sell prepaid laundry subscriptions or wash & fold plans?
Yes. You define plans with a credit value and a validity period. Customers buy or top up a plan, and each order deducts from their balance at checkout. Plans can be switched with the remaining credit carried forward, and every subscription carries its expiry date.
Does it work with barcode scanners and receipt printers?
Yes. The POS runs in the browser on a PC or tablet. A standard barcode scanner looks up orders from the ticket, and receipts print on a thermal receipt printer, with reprints available from the order.
Which payment methods can my laundry accept?
Cash, KNET, card payment links, customer accounts (pay later) and subscription credit — and you can split one order across more than one method.
How does shift-based reporting work?
Every order and payment is stamped with the business date and the shift it happened in. At the end of a shift you count the cash, and the report shows what each shift took in, so night-shift sales never land in the wrong day.
Do I need an accountant to keep the books?
WoBooks posts the double-entry journal entries for every sale, payment and subscription automatically, so your profit and loss, receivables and subscription liability are always up to date. Your accountant can review the same reports.
Can I send customers their receipt on WhatsApp?
Yes, from the counter. After a sale, one tap on the POS opens WhatsApp on your own phone or terminal with the customer's receipt message ready, and you press send. WoBooks does not send WhatsApp messages to laundry customers on its own.
