Ship WoBooks orders via TCS — workflow guide for Pakistani sellers

Configure TCS as a WoBooks shipping method, print packing slips, hand parcels to TCS, and update tracking. Direct TCS API auto-shipment is on the WoBooks roadmap.

Short answer

WoBooks does not yet have a direct TCS API integration — that is on the roadmap. Today, WoBooks Pakistani sellers ship via TCS using the standard shipping-method workflow: configure "TCS Standard" or "TCS Overnight" as a shipping method with rates per city zone, print packing slips with order details, drop the parcels at TCS, and paste the tracking numbers back into the order in WoBooks. The customer-facing experience is the same as a deeper API integration; the internal workflow is manual at the courier handoff step.

What you need from TCS

Open a TCS merchant account, then paste these credentials into WoBooks once.

TCS account number
Your TCS commercial account number (corporate / merchant). Used on packing slips and for COD reconciliation.
Pickup address
Your default pickup location for TCS to collect from. Configured in Settings → Shipping → Pickup Locations.
Service tier
TCS Overnight, TCS Standard, TCS Same-Day. Each is a separate WoBooks shipping method with its own rates per zone.

How TCS on WoBooks works

Five steps. No plugin installs, no webhook configuration, no third-party middleware.

1

Open a TCS commercial account

Apply for a TCS commercial / merchant account directly with TCS. They issue you an account number, agree COD reconciliation terms, and provide a courier pickup schedule.

2

Configure TCS as a shipping method in WoBooks

In your WoBooks store, open Settings → Shipping → Methods. Add "TCS Standard" with rates per zone (Within-city: PKR 200, Across-city: PKR 300, Out-of-city: PKR 400 — adjust to your TCS contract). Repeat for TCS Overnight if you offer it.

3

Customer picks TCS at checkout

Your shopper picks TCS Standard or TCS Overnight at checkout based on speed preference. The shipping rate calculates automatically from the zone. The order moves to "Pending Pickup" status in WoBooks once paid (or confirmed for COD).

4

Print packing slips, drop with TCS

In your WoBooks dashboard, print the packing slip per order — it includes order ID, customer name, address, items, and TCS account number for COD reconciliation. Hand parcels to TCS at your scheduled pickup or drop at a TCS branch.

5

Paste tracking numbers, customer gets updates

TCS gives you a tracking number per parcel. Paste it into the order in WoBooks (one click per order). The order status updates to "Shipped" and the customer can track via the TCS website using the number.

Why WoBooks for TCS

  • Customer-facing flow looks like an API integration — they pick TCS at checkout, see the right rate, get a tracking number afterwards.
  • Print-ready packing slips per order with TCS account, customer address, and item list — no Excel or manual rewriting.
  • COD orders are flagged separately so you can reconcile against TCS cash-collection reports.
  • JazzCash, Easypaisa, Safepay, and Cash on Delivery all work with TCS — the courier is independent of the payment method.
  • API auto-shipment with TCS is on the WoBooks roadmap — when it ships, your existing TCS shipping-method config carries over without re-setup.

Frequently asked questions

Direct answers to the questions merchants ask before switching on TCS.

Does WoBooks have a direct API integration with TCS today?

Not yet — TCS API auto-shipment is on the WoBooks roadmap. Today, the workflow is: configure TCS as a shipping method with rates per zone, print packing slips per order, drop with TCS, and paste tracking numbers back into WoBooks. The customer-facing experience is the same; the internal workflow is manual at the courier handoff step.

How do I set up TCS rates in WoBooks?

Open Settings → Shipping → Methods → Add Method, name it "TCS Standard", define zones (e.g. Within-city, Across-city, Out-of-city) with rates per zone. Add a second method "TCS Overnight" with higher rates if you offer that tier. Customers pick the tier they want at checkout.

How does COD work with TCS through WoBooks?

COD orders flow through your normal WoBooks COD setup — customer picks Cash on Delivery at checkout, you ship via TCS with the COD amount marked on the packing slip. TCS collects cash from the customer, deducts their commission, and settles the balance to your TCS account on the cycle agreed in your TCS contract (typically 7–10 days).

Can customers track their order on the TCS website?

Yes. Once you paste the TCS tracking number into the order in WoBooks, the customer sees it on their order-tracking page and can also paste it into the TCS website directly. Real-time TCS tracking inside WoBooks is on the roadmap (along with API auto-shipment).

Will my existing TCS workflow carry over when WoBooks ships the API integration?

Yes — your TCS shipping-method names, rates, zones, and pickup addresses all carry forward. The API integration adds automatic shipment creation and live tracking on top of what you already configured. No re-setup, no migration drama.

Are TCS and Leopards both supported on the same store?

Yes. Configure both as separate shipping methods. Customers see both at checkout and pick whichever they prefer (or whichever is cheaper / faster for their address). Useful when one courier is stronger in a specific region.

How much does it cost to ship via TCS through WoBooks?

WoBooks does not charge anything for shipping — you pay TCS directly per their commercial rate card. The lowest WoBooks plan that includes an online store with shipping zones is Commerce Growth at $10/month (about PKR 2,780), with a free 7-day trial.
