Sign up with Safepay as a merchant
Apply for a Safepay merchant account at getsafepay.com. Once approved, Safepay issues you a merchant API key and API secret for both sandbox and production environments.
Paste credentials into your WoBooks store
In the WoBooks store manager, open Settings → Payments → Safepay. Paste the API key, API secret, and select sandbox or production. WoBooks encrypts both keys before storing.
Safepay appears at checkout automatically
As soon as credentials are saved, Safepay shows up as a card-payment option on your storefront checkout alongside JazzCash, Easypaisa, and Cash on Delivery.
Customer pays via Safepay hosted page
WoBooks creates a Safepay session via the official Safepay PHP SDK, generates a TBT (time-based authentication token), and redirects the customer to the Safepay-hosted payment page where they enter card details. Card data never touches your WoBooks store — fully PCI-DSS compliant.
Webhook verifies payment, order is marked paid
Safepay sends a webhook with HMAC-signed payload. WoBooks verifies the signature, marks the order paid, generates the receipt, and triggers the normal post-payment flow (invoice, WhatsApp alert, accounting journal entry).

How do I accept Safepay card payments on my website with WoBooks?
Create a free WoBooks store, open Settings → Payments → Safepay, paste your Safepay merchant API key and API secret, and pick sandbox or production. Save. Safepay will immediately appear as a card-payment option at checkout. Customers who choose it are redirected to the Safepay-hosted payment page, enter their card, and are returned to your site with the payment verified by webhook.
Does WoBooks charge a transaction fee on Safepay payments?
No. WoBooks charges zero transaction fees on any plan. You only pay whatever Safepay charges you directly as part of your merchant agreement with Safepay (typically 1.5%–2.5% per card transaction depending on volume and card type) — WoBooks does not add a cent on top.
Is card data stored on my WoBooks store?
No. Card details are entered directly on the Safepay-hosted payment page and never touch your WoBooks server. This keeps you out of PCI-DSS scope. WoBooks only stores the Safepay tracker token and the transaction outcome — never card numbers, CVV, or expiry.
Does WoBooks support sandbox testing?
Yes. Toggle to sandbox in Settings → Payments → Safepay and run end-to-end test transactions using Safepay's sandbox card numbers. Once you are happy with the flow, switch to production with one click — same code path, real transactions.
How does WoBooks verify a Safepay payment is real?
Every Safepay webhook includes an HMAC signature. WoBooks recomputes the signature server-side and compares it to the one Safepay sent. If they do not match, the webhook is rejected and the order is not marked paid — this prevents a forged "success" callback.
Can I accept Safepay alongside JazzCash, Easypaisa, and COD?
Yes — and most merchants do. Safepay (cards), JazzCash and Easypaisa (mobile wallets), and Cash on Delivery are independent payment methods in WoBooks. Add all four and they appear side-by-side at checkout. Pakistani customers self-select what they prefer, and your conversion rate is materially higher than offering only one method.
Does Safepay support international cards from overseas buyers?
Yes. Safepay processes Visa and Mastercard from any country issuing those networks. Useful for Sialkot exporters selling to UK / Gulf / EU customers, or for overseas Pakistanis buying from a Pakistani store. Currency is settled in PKR by default; ask Safepay about USD settlement if you sell heavily abroad.
