FBR-formatted POS receipts for Pakistan businesses
NTN, STRN, FBR invoice number, and scannable FBR QR code — printed on every thermal receipt and A4 invoice, with one-time setup.
WoBooks stores your NTN, STRN, tax office, and POS registration number, assigns every sale an FBR-format invoice number (STRN-DDMMYYHHMMSS-seq), and prints a scannable FBR QR code containing the full invoice payload on both thermal and A4 receipts. Real-time transmission to the FBR Integration Endpoint is on our roadmap — today WoBooks produces the compliant document your accountant or Tier-1 integrator submits.

How to configure FBR POS receipts in WoBooks
One-time setup. Every order prints compliant after that.
Open store settings
From your WoBooks dashboard, go to Store Manager → Settings → FBR & Tax.
Enter your FBR credentials
Fill in your NTN (National Tax Number), STRN (Sales Tax Registration Number), RTO/LTO tax office, and POS registration number as issued by FBR.
Enable FBR invoice formatting
Toggle on "FBR invoice enabled" and optionally "Show tax on receipts". Save.
Print a test receipt
Create a test order. The thermal and A4 layouts now show your NTN, STRN, FBR invoice number, and FBR-verify QR code.
Every order prints compliant
From that point on, every order — online, POS, or imported — renders the FBR-formatted receipt automatically.
Frequently asked questions
Straight answers about what WoBooks does and does not do for FBR.
Does WoBooks integrate with FBR POS?
WoBooks generates FBR-formatted receipts and invoices: it stores your NTN, STRN, tax office, and POS registration number, assigns each sale an FBR invoice number in the standard STRN-DDMMYYHHMMSS-sequence format, and prints a scannable FBR QR code on thermal and A4 invoices. Real-time transmission to the FBR Integration Endpoint is on our roadmap — today WoBooks prepares the compliant document your accountant or Tier-1 integrator submits.
What FBR information does WoBooks print on the receipt?
The thermal receipt and A4 PDF both print: your business NTN, STRN, RTO/LTO tax office, POS registration number, an FBR-format invoice number, the order date and time, item totals, tax breakdown, and a QR code labelled "FBR Verify" that encodes NTN, STRN, POS ID, invoice number, date, subtotal, and tax as JSON.
Does WoBooks transmit invoices to the FBR server in real-time?
Not yet. Today WoBooks produces the FBR-compliant document but does not push invoices to the FBR Integration Endpoint. Direct real-time transmission for Tier-1 retailers is on our roadmap. Until then, merchants use the WoBooks-generated FBR invoice numbers and QR codes as their system of record and submit to FBR through their existing Tier-1 integrator or accountant.
Where do I enter my NTN and STRN in WoBooks?
Go to Store Manager → Settings → FBR & Tax. You enter your NTN, STRN, tax office, and POS registration number, then toggle "FBR invoice enabled". Every receipt from that point prints the full FBR-formatted layout automatically.
What does the FBR invoice number look like in WoBooks?
WoBooks generates FBR invoice numbers in the format STRN-DDMMYYHHMMSS-sequence — combining your Sales Tax Registration Number, the transaction timestamp, and a per-day sequence. This format is assigned automatically on every order when FBR invoice is enabled; no manual numbering required.
Is the FBR QR code on WoBooks receipts really scannable?
Yes. The QR code on thermal and A4 receipts encodes a JSON payload containing NTN, STRN, POS ID, FBR invoice number, date, subtotal, and tax total. It scans with any QR reader, and the payload is the same data your accountant or integrator uses when submitting to FBR.
Do I need a Tier-1 retailer license to use WoBooks POS in Pakistan?
No — WoBooks is used by businesses of all sizes, not only Tier-1 retailers. Registered businesses with NTN/STRN can enable FBR invoice formatting so their receipts meet FBR document standards. Whether you are legally required to integrate with FBR real-time depends on your FBR classification; consult your tax advisor. WoBooks runs fine either way — receipt formatting is optional per-store.
How much does FBR-ready POS cost on WoBooks?
FBR receipt formatting is included on every paid Commerce plan. The lowest plan is Commerce Growth at $10/month (PKR 2,780), with a free 7-day trial. There is no separate FBR add-on, no per-invoice fee, and no transaction fee on top.
